Supermanimation!
Okily, here’s a short, simple Flash animation I did in two of my animation classes before Christmas break. I handed it up for our first Flash animation assignment. The assignment was as much about editing as it was about putting the Flash animation techniques to practical use. Anyway, I got really good feedback for it.
I really like Flash!

If I Can Dream... Technology can achieve it!
“If I Can Dream“ is a song made famous by Elvis Presley, notable for its direct quotations to Martin Luther King, Jr.. It was recorded by Presley in June, 1968, two months after King’s assassination.
On American Idol 6, Celine Dion sang the song as a duet with Elvis, using special effects; specifically, rotoscoping and some clever editing.
As a Multimedia student I find how they achieved this very interesting. Also, not to mention, gotta love the song!
Now, watch how they did it!
However, if you’d rather stay amazed and remain in ignorant bliss of the process, then don’t watch the following videos.
Actually, the 2nd one is pretty short and doesn’t reveal much of anything; a layman’s explanation really, that is quite vague.
Fox News Segment:
Hope you enjoyed that! I’ll be back over the next few days, hoping to post some more. I’ve been quiet these last few weeks.

ZoomQuilt
This is absolutely awesome! They’ve taken the concept of a patchwork quilt and turned it in to an interactive collaborative art experience.
“It involves the use of optical illusion, and a series of interlocking frame images (46 in total), to create a never-ending series of images when compiled in a programmed loop.“
Brilliant! It’s just so cool checking out all the different contributions by different people. There’s some really cool artwork in there. If you’ve got some time to spare, check it out!

Dark & Eerie
Alrighty, as it’s Halloween I thought now was the perfect opportunity to do the next theme in The 100 Things List. Theme 4 is ‘Dark’, and, due to the festive holiday that is today, I thought I’d try to make something that was a little eerie too.
As is usual with me, at first I didn’t like it, and intended to do something else. However, I accidentally set it as my desktop and it gave me a new impression of it. I like the large moon filling the background, silhouetting the raven on the dying tree, with the fog creeping across, further blocking out the stars. It’s grown on me!
The next theme in the list is ‘Seeking Solace’. I’ve no idea what to do for that, but if at all possible I think I’m going to go out with my camera and take a picture, rather than doing something in Photoshop again. Either that or I’ll actually hand draw something… which I haven’t done in quite some time.
